Getting your work out of Pencil and into the world just got a whole lot easier. With Advanced Exports, we’ve redesigned the flow to give you more speed, more control, and more flexibility — so you can deliver creative work without the extra clicks.

What’s New

• Export from anywhere – No need to jump into preview or comment mode. Now you can export directly from the work page or editor without breaking your flow.
  
• Direct to integrations – Send your creatives straight into connected ad accounts and integrations right from the export module.
  
• More export options – Access print controls and adjust height, width, and DPI directly from the module, with more improvements on the way.

Updates for Print

Digital-first doesn’t mean digital-only. With Advanced Exports, your AI-powered work is now just as ready for print as it is for social or web. Here’s what’s new:

• True size control – Set the width and height of print materials in inches, and the system will handle the math for you. That means no more fiddling with pixel counts or ratios.
• Automatic DPI adjustments – DPI (dots per inch) is how printers measure resolution. Higher DPI means sharper images in print. With Advanced Exports, you don’t have to worry about conversion charts. Just tell the system what you need — for example, “8 x 11 inches at 300 DPI” — and Pencil automatically adjusts the pixel dimensions to fit.
  • Want to print bigger? Adjust the inches and the pixel count scales up.
  • Need a sharper print? Increase the DPI and the system recalculates size and resolution.
• Built-in guardrails – We support industry-standard 300 DPI with a maximum resolution of 3600 × 3600 pixels, which comfortably covers up to A4 (about 8 × 11 inches). That way you know your prints will look professional without unexpected scaling issues.
• Batch consistency – Exporting multiple print files? Just set your DPI once and Advanced Exports automatically adjusts all your files to match, saving you from manual resizing headaches.
• CMYK color support – No more washed-out colors. Your exports are now optimized for professional print workflows, so reds, blues, and blacks look just as vivid on paper as they do on screen.

In short: whether you’re designing brochures, flyers, packaging, or reports, you can go from concept to press-ready without ever leaving Pencil.
