What started as a creative sprint turned into a Google-featured brand.

Moodlings — a gang of loveable, mood-boosting gummy characters — were brought to life using Pencil and Google’s latest GenAI tools, including Veo 3, now live in public preview on Vertex AI.

Created in 24 hours. Featured by Google.

Moodlings began as a brand challenge at SXSW London for BIMA, powered by our friends at Jellyfish. The team — including Tom Roach, Emily Collins, Lucas Stanley, Gemma Cotterell, Sam Yates, Margaux Dalgleish and Sahar Amer — built everything from brand strategy to production in a single day using Pencil’s GenAI platform, layered with Veo 3, Gemini and Imagen.

The result? A bright, breezy, joy-filled brand world that caught Google’s eye and ended up featured in their official launch of Veo 3 on Vertex AI.

‍

“Veo 3 is the single greatest leap forward in practically useful AI for advertising… Veo 3 in one swoop lowers the barriers to entry to gen AI for creative people and elevates gen AI to a top-tier brand-building tool.”
— Will Hanschell, Co-Founder & CEO, Pencil

‍

Why it matters

Veo 3 takes GenAI storytelling up a level, letting creators generate cinematic video with built-in sound, realistic physics, and scene-level control — all from a single prompt.

Combined with Pencil, it’s a total unlock for brands and creators:

  • Instantly go from idea to video ad
  • Add layered soundscapes, dialogue and music
  • Generate visual worlds with narrative depth and emotional tone

Try it for yourself

Veo 3 is now available in public preview on Vertex AI Media Studio - and is LIVE in Pencil NOW. Check it out - we can't wait to see what you build.
